The First Annual Airport Watch Summit was held in Toronto on Saturday July 9^th, 2010. In addition to the Airport Watch National Coordinator, Sgt. Jacques Brunelle of the RCMP, Executives from the different Canadian Airport Watch organizations travelled to the Pearson Airport for a fun afternoon of spotting followed by an informal meeting at The Keg Restaurant. The meal was followed by more spotting of late evening arrivals for a few brave folks! In attendance were: Nelson Plamondon, YOW Airport Chair, joined by Denis Godin, Webmaster, Patrick Cardinal, Montreal Airport Watch Chair, Andrew Reidel, Chair of Calgary Airport Watch and the Toronto crew composed of Andrew Cline, YYZ Airport Watch Administrator,  Finance Director Brian Dunn, Tours Director Derek Horsey and Public Relations Director Rob MacNeil.

This meeting provided an opportunity to share best practices, discuss the idea of setting up a National or North-American Airport Watch organization as well as informing participants on new Airport Watch groups soon to join this happy community.

A big thank you to our colleagues of the YYZ Airport Watch for hosting this very successful event. Looking forward to making this meeting an annual tradition.
