5th Annual Ottawa Airport Watch Summer BBQ

Once again this year the BBQ had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather and a number of aviation related activities. The 5th Annual Ottawa Airport Watch BBQ finally took place on Saturday September 10, 2011. In addition to enjoying good weather, good food and good company, members and guests had the opportunity to enjoy a demonstration of the newly created Ottawa International Airport Canine Unit with manager and handler Don Missen and one of the unit's dogs, Samson. The icing on the cake followed this demo when members were treated to an airside tour escorted by Constable Gary Davidson in an Ottawa Police Service SUV. A small sampling of the many pictures taken during that day are shown above.
In light of the success with hosting the annual BBQ in September for the last two years, the organizing committee is already looking at potential September dates for the 6th Annual BBQ to be held in 2012. See you then…
